Inert Gas Systems
Halon replacement consisting of a mixture of Argon and Nitrogen.
A safe and suitable alternative to both Halon and CO2. Inert gas systems extinguish fires in enclosed spaces within one minute by reducing the oxygen level from the normal 21% to 12.5% - a level acceptable to human exposure over short periods - eliminating the fire quickly and effectively without affecting personnel.
Inert gas systems are effective against fires in almost all combustible materials and flammable liquids. They are particularly suitable for use in areas where conventional sprinkler, foam or powder systems would be unacceptable.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2)
A cheap and efficient way of covering particular risks. Operates by reducing the oxygen content to a level that cannot sustain fire. Carbon Dioxide is an asphyxiant at the concentrations required to extinguish fires, and should be regarded as a toxic substance. Because of this Carbon Dioxide total room flooding systems should not be fully automated in occupied areas.

FM-200 - Chemical based Halon replacement.
Stored in liquid form and pressurised to 25 bar by dry nitrogen. When discharged, FM-200 expands at the nozzle and returns to a gaseous condition. FM-200 requires a concentration of at least 7% of the risk area volume.
It is a colourless, odourless gas which is electrically non-conductive. It is suitable for use on class A & B fires, has zero ozone depletion and leaves no residue after discharge.
