FOAM SYSTEMS

Generally used to extinguish liquid fuel fires. A variety of protein based or synthetic foam concentrates are available for differing fire risks.

These foams are developed to float on the surface of liquid fuel to create a barrier between burning fuel vapour and the air, blocking the supply of oxygen, to extinguish the fire.

Foams are non-toxic, non-corrosive and biodegradable under normal conditions of use. Spillages of finished foam may be washed away with water without fear of environmental pollution.
